This blog of Autumn Colours is a celebration of my favourite time of year for photography. Below is a collection of various images, bringing together my range of work including landscapes, portraits, weddings and commercial photographs.
Now onto some portraits, starting with David Farrell from STV on a shoot in Glasgow. The leaves and colour help to give some incredible vibrancy to the scene.
This is from one of my Family Photography sessions, using depth of field to blur out the background.
This time a cheeky brother needed blurring out!!
It’s not just the autumn colours, it’s the fact that the sun is low in the sky during this time of the year helping to provide beautiful diffused light.
Back now to landscapes and a mix of colours with a wooden boat and autumn colours at Balmaha, Loch Lomond.
Here’s a couple of examples from a Pre-Wedding Photography Session, a session where we were blessed with some lovely weather.
Occasionally you get some dry, crisp, weather, amazing for portraits.
Back to Loch Lomond and the Tom Weir Statue in Balmaha, a photograph that is being used on postcards sold in the village.
More family photography sessions…
Now a photography session for a bridal magazine.
When I took this photograph the sky was so gloomy that I got onto a ladder and looked down where the leaves made a great backdrop.
All through Autumn the colours change, it’s the one time of year when with a day or two a scene can look completely different.
Now from another pre-wedding photography session from Glasgow’s West End.
Back to that mix the sun, low in the sky, hitting off the autumn colours.
The moment when you realise that you’re being watched! This was during a photograph session in Glasgow, luckily I got to photograph my shy observer.
Finally, one more autumnal photograph from Loch Lomond.
