Favourite Wedding Venues In Scotland

Posted In: Wedding Photography

Here are some of my favourite wedding venues in Scotland, with details about them and of course some photographs to show you what a wedding looks like there. I’ve also added in some thoughts about why I like them as they are all ones that I have photographed one or more wedding at.

The list is in no particular order and if you want to find out more about my Wedding Photography Services, for one of these, or indeed any other Scottish venue please get in touch via the Contact Page, or by calling 01360 661029.

Altskeith House, Loch Ard, Near Aberfyole

Let’s start with an absolute cracker. I love photographing weddings at Altskeith House. The owners Alison and Yas are a delight to work with and put enormous effort into making weddings a success. You can see for yourself with these examples!

The Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh

You can’t get a more iconic city centre location than this one. The Balmoral as you would expect has grand rooms, but you may not know that it also has a roof top area. The roof can only be accessed with permission, so it’s a pretty exclusive opportunity for couples to get photographed looking out over Edinburgh.

A very popular wedding venue, with a couple of room options. There is a beach that can be used for outdoor weddings and there is a recently added jetty. Stunning views over Loch Lomond from all over the hotel. Nearby there is the beautiful village of Luss, with again more photography opportunities.
