Killearn Village Hall Wedding
This was the last photograph that I took at a recent Killearn Village Hall Wedding. Aileen and Lawrence watching the sun set on their amazing wedding. Their wedding day had started at Blanefield, the village near Glasgow, where both bride and groom grew up. In fact this couple first met at nursery! It may not have been love at first sight at that tender age, but they are extremely happy now and enjoyed a wonderful August wedding.
Despite the beautiful sunset the day had included some very heavy rain showers, luckily we dodged those whilst coming out of the family houses and then after the ceremony at St Kessog’s Church in Blanefield. We even got lucky and braved Killearn Glen, with Aileen treading carefully to keep her dress as white as possible. Once we arrived at Killearn Village Hall the sun was shining and we could use the outdoor areas.
At the time that the Village Hall was re-built in Killearn my daughter was going to the nursery across the road, so we watched it go up. The result now is a contemporary hall, with superb catering by the renowned Three Sisters Bake. There was lots of laughter and fun all through the day, Aileen & Lawrence were a pleasure to photograph. Here is a selection of some of the photographs from their wedding at Blanefield and then Killearn.
