Menemsha, Martha’s Vineyard
Menemsha is a small fishing village on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod, United States. You can read another blog about a previous visit to Menemsha on another blog about Martha’s Vineyard.
This blog mainly features photographs from my recent 2016 trip, but I have also included some from a previous visit in 2014.
There is a lot to photograph here, including the pretty harbour with its fishing boats, seafood restaurants, souvenir shops and beach.
Here is a collection of photographs of the beautiful shops, restaurants and fish markets.
And a picture below of the ‘catch of the day’ arriving. I really like the board outside the fish market showing which of the island businesses support the local fisherman.
Menemsha is also renowned for its incredible sunsets. People flock to the beach to watch the sun go down and cheer when it finally disappears.
There is limited parking, so the best way to get there is by bus. Here are some more of my photographs, I hope you enjoy looking at them. You may also like my blog of Edgartown, also on Martha’s Vineyard, which includes some of its July 4th celebrations.
