Welcome to my blog, please click play below to watch a 60 second film about my photography. There’s more about me below, for enquiries and bookings please contact me.
After spending 20 years working in radio I decided five years ago to set up my own company – Paul Saunders Media & Photography. Looking at what I do it’s incredibly varied, photographing weddings, families and businesses, as well as running training courses and making films.
If I look at a common theme though it is moments. Life is a series of moments and I get my job satisfaction from capturing them. Like the tear shed by a father as he walks his daughter up the aisle, a child walking for the first time or the moment where one of my students masters the controls of a camera and sees their photography improve.
I was very lucky in my radio career to work with some very talented people, particularly at Radio Clyde in Glasgow sharing with them some special moments, including broadcasting from Live 8, award wins, interviewing heroes like Paul Weller and Stevie Wonder and seeing money raised from Cash for Kids go to the good causes in the West of Scotland.
The last five years though have been incredible. I am based in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, with its truly inspiring scenery (see below) and I work not only in the National Park but in nearby Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.
As well as photographing families and weddings I work with many businesses, creating on-line content for them and consulting on marketing, drawing from my radio and media experience. I specialise particularly in tourism and leisure and in 2013 I was invited onto the board of Love Loch Lomond.
I’ve lived in a few different places in the UK, the best by far is Scotland and not long after my daughter was born my wife and I decided to move to Loch Lomond. This is a wonderful place to live and work and an ideal base for travelling to assignments throughout Scotland
I launched this new blog at the end of 2014 to showcase a variety of work and to provide photography tips and ideas. I hope you enjoy reading the posts and please leave a comment, or contact me for more information.
